Mr. Bruck is an industry expert in developing secure Internet applications, collaboration systems and Internet Security. Mr. Bruck has over 20 years of experience with the analysis, design, development, and implementation of complex information technology systems. He was previously Director of Information Assurance for PEC Solutions, managing secure e-Government projects for customers including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Social Security Administration (SSA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the USDA’s National Finance Center (NFC).
For the SSA, Mr. Bruck has directed projects in the areas of: e-authentication, knowledge based authentication, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Concept of Operations, and PKI Architecture. Mr. Bruck presented Knowledge Based Authentication, Responsible Use and Scoring at the 2004 NIST Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) conference. He has supported SSA’s outward facing E-authentication program, with specific focus on risk analysis, privacy, application security, e-authentication, and identity theft.
Prior to founding BruckEdwards, Mr. Bruck was the chief architect and program director for the DEA’s Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS). From program inception in 1999 until OMB cleared DEA’s Final Rule in March of 2005, Mr. Bruck led the development of the DEA’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system in support of the CSOS program. In this role, Mr. Bruck advised DEA during the regulatory development process and provided digital signature and PKI expertise.
Mr. Bruck has published numerous articles on PKI, and securing E-commerce, and speaks frequently on these topics. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University and numerous certifications including Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA).
